Travels with a husband & his bicycle

In the beginning

CAYMAN ISLANDS | Sunday, 7 April 2013 | Views [144]

there was a husband & wife who lived in the Caribbean but the husband was frustrated about the type of bicycle riding that was available to him on the small island where they lived, very flat, no hills, no challenge, compared to his home town of PLettenberg Bay, South Africa. The wife did some research and found the website of Jamaica Reggae Ride ... three or five days organsied group riding through Jamaica. She told her husband about it and, with the bicycle ready to be put into it's box, we are off to Jamaica next Friday.

We are arriving in Montego Bay then being taken to Negril from where the ride will start the next day. Day one is a "gentle" ride from Negril to Montego Bay; day two is Montego Bay to Ocho Rios and then day three will be Ocho Rios to Port Antonio. There might be one or two "hills" involved in days two and three we have been told...

Will try to keep this up and running with each day's exploits ... oh and I'll be taking the group photographs during the ride, as I'll be travelling in the mechanics' van!
