My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Norway | Monday, June 10, 2013 | flickr photos
Ohai there!
My name is Tanja Aakerøy, 21 years of age and living in Norway. I am currently serving my compulsory (voluntarily for us girls) year in the Norwegian armed forces working as a journalist/photographer. I've studied photography, communication and journalism for three years (and more to come), and hope that soon I'll be a certified photographer.
What caused my spark to ignite into flames with photography was when I learned that it's like painting with light, and I love drawing. I've always been a very creative and easily amused girl. I originally had no plans of getting this far with photography, but one day it just hit me. I have a talent and I should do my best to make it grow and evolve myself.
As for now my "job" (Not employed) lets me travel a bit to shoot documentary photos of mainly soldiers in "playwar". This is my passion. I love capturing the moments, in both details and in full. I love showing people what I see through my eyes. I strive to take good photos that tell stories without words, and I'm getting thirstier for more.
I want to travel the world and keep shooting, and this I will fulfill.
Breathe, smile. Congratulations, you're alive.
