"They are as big as you are"

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Indonesia | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 4 photos

I love ‘watching people’. It feels like i can see their characteristics through their showing. I remember my mother once said, ”It is a bit annoying that you are literally staring at them. Search other well-mannered way”. And as a result, i took pictures of them. My first thing that was used to take photos is my cellphone-camera. Even though it is just a cellphone-camera, the photos are really showing its stories. It became fun when i got a digital-camera. I take more pictures, not only human, but also nature, environment, animal, everything. Thus, i am always using a camera to know more about this universe and especially its history in it.
When i know about Travel Photography Scholarship 2012; a chance to go to Oman and mentored by Nat Geo veteran and Jason Edwards, I thought I should go apply. I am neither going abroad nor getting a scholarship program overseas before. Therefore, I would like to have experience in this scholarship because it is my chance to know how it feels exploring the historic city of Oman, meet the people there, and learn their stories by taking photos of them. AIso, i'd like to develop my skill in photography taught by professional photographer.
