My Scholarship entry - A valley
Peru | Saturday, November 22, 2014 | 5 photos
I'm a law student, peruvian from birth and heart. Since I received my first camera I do not stop to take pictures not only of the places I have the opportunity to go, also of the reality of my own society, situations that could make people think about important issues, unusual things or moments that just one do not want to forget. Take pictures is more than the action of doing so, it is art, passion, the wanting of take the moment in a shot, make them eternal. My pictures does not just showing beautiful scenics, they also try to talk about the situation that this place is living (near to a mining camp, being destructive slowly because of non governmental care, etc.)
And that is why you should choose me because I want to tell, not only to my country but also to the world the real story of Madre de Dios. I know I am just 20 but since I enrolled some environmental organizations my goal was to someday go to Madre de Dios and take my own pictures, see with my own lenses, from one side, the marvelousness of my jungle, the nature, but also, what is destructing it, The gold situation. I am sure I can take advantage of this, and feel and tell THE story you are looking for.
