It all started four years ago, drifting from a rational lifestyle in Dubai to what most call a bad trade off for a "life on the road" - journeying from Tibet to Timor Leste exploring almost all countries in between. This event has evolved from a life long belief rooted in high regard of nature, appreciation of change and exclusive passion to photography. On route, these ingredients combine; everything within aches to explore in order to photograph and drives me to photograph in order to understand.
Understanding demands objectivity at every dealing so as to enable seeing. And chances to see are many, Asians are generous, spiritual and very transparent, their life is based on a symbiotic relation with nature and a unique attachment to traditions. My frames are an attempt to portray innocence blurred, often mistaken for naivety. Pictures vary, content screams of cultures trying to find a foothold in a world dominated by money and interests.
Having had no schooling in photography, my approach is still mostly based on trial and error. This scholarship, presents a unique opportunity to bridge technical gaps that books don't publish and of course to explore a fascinating country.
