Crazy Chinese Headlines!

I don't know if this made the news back home but here's an excerpt from the Chinese news.

“Big Dorky American Saves MagLev Train”

Shanghai – A big American foreign devil was the hero of the moment after he helped stop an out-of-control Magnetic Levitation Train linking Shanghai and the new airport. The super high tech train, which achieves a top speed of 430 MPH, had a minor glitch after all the nerds on board simultaneously took flash photography of the speedometer.

The American, being the most excited of all the nerds, was appointed to the job of rescuing the train via a vote carried out in binary code that left non-nerd passengers perplexed since it sounded like they were talking “fax machine” to each other. Nobody was hurt and the unknown hero, said by witnesses to be “the tallest nerdy type white person” they had ever seen was not identified but was reportedly “very excited to take a MagLev train”. Also his female companion was reported as saying “It's kinda funny, post it if you want.” The meaning of this code phrase is not yet understood.
