Hi,

My name is Ben Hogarth and I have a true passion for travel photography. Normally I'm a television producer in Australia but for the past year I have been living in Africa photographing tribes across 20 various countries within the continent.

I have a fascination with different cultures around the world and the chance to photograph them is what I truly love to do. Unfortunately being an amateur means I have to travel to remote places at great cost...but I'm not going to stop following my passion.

Aside from taking photos of these different peoples, I love the process of getting to these regions. The hardships, the dangers and the excitement when privileged enough to spend time with various cultures.

After this year I know that a career in photography, particularly one which allows me to travel into incredible areas is what I would love to do.

I believe this scholarship will allow me the chance to learn some valuable lessons, may be helping make that next step in the industry.
