Backpacking in NZ has changed me for good. It has taught me some of the most crude of facts first hand. Its only with struggle you learn that no job is too difficult or too dirty for you. Its not the work you do, its why and how you do it that builds you. The value of money is understood when you face the lack of it. Having a roof over your head is a priviledge and having a bed to sleep on every night is a luxury not everyone can claim. I have learnt the difference between need and want and that what you can carry is all that you will need. I have learnt to value my family more than ever and cherish friendships that have survived the toughest of times. I have learnt that people are diffirent and that its OK to be different and that love is bigger than any difference we can think of. The existence of God has never been more alive in my life. I have been asked many a times what my dream job would be and I have realised that my dreams are far bigger and more meaningful than what can be confined in a job. With all the places I have been to, things I have learnt, seen, explored and wondered at, the greatest joy has always been the bond I share with my 100 odd backpacking friends, so thank you for the lessons and the memories.
