My Scholarship entry - Logging Victoria's Native Forests: Toolangi

For the past 10 years I have been working in an office as a finance manager - boring! In 2010 I decided to study photography part-time and have just completed my Advanced Diploma of Photography at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, Victoria. I have just recently made the bold, yet slightly daunting decision, to change careers and pursue my creative passion. I have little real-world (paid) experience when it comes to photography however I enjoy observing and telling stories through my work. Having recently resigned from corporate job I plan to forge a career in travel and documentary photography. One of my life goals is to be published by National Geographic but I know that I require practice and time in the field to make this a reality. I have a passion for street photography, where it matters what you get in camera rather than relying on post-production techniques. I want to learn how to carry-over my camera craft from the street to the wider photojournalism world. I believe if I was offered the unique opportunity to assist and learn from Jason Edwards it would be huge step towards achieving my photography goals!
