My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My family and I broke all the rules and left the Amish with the clothes on our back, and began traveling to find ourselves. In the process, I acquired a digital camera, hoping to capture this new world I was seeing for the first time. I find this world exquisitely beautiful. Everything, and everyone in it. There's a quality in every leaf, in the gleam in every person's eyes. I want to capture feeling in photography, thoughts and dreams into pictures. I'm dreaming of the day I get the chance to learn from the best. When I was young, I snuck a National Geographic into my amish home and spent hours going through the pictures and I made a promise to myself that someday I would photograph for Nat Geo.
I'm 21, and I'm working 70-75 hours a week to support myself and parts of my family. All I want is a chance to prove to myself and them that I can do more. I'm the hardest worker you'll find, the most passionate person out there. I know with all my heart that I can do this, and I don't have the most experience yet, but I can be the best, I believe.
