My Photo scholarship 2010 entry
Worldwide | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | 5 photos
Street photography is my passion and I love to capture people in different moods as I go around exploring a place with my camera. This particular series was clicked during one such late evening at Times Square in New York. There could be no better place to capture people doing their 'own thing' than Times Square! And the photos give ample proof of that!!
The ability to click photos with any amount of light as I 'walk around' and the eye to catch various moods of my subjects are the 2 points that I think will make me enjoy photography in Bhutan as well. I click landscapes as well once I spot an element which could bring emotion into the photo. I have never used camera flash in any of the photos that I have clicked.
Just to add - all these photos have been clicked from the same spot at Times Square and no frame has been cropped.. they are just the way they were framed while pressing the shutter.
Regarding myself - I took to photography very recently but have clicked close to 10,000 photos in the last 10 months. I am a creative person at heart but did not know how much I would enjoy this form of art till I bought my first DSLR.
I would just say that I am enjoying photography right now and I hope I keep learning.
