My Scholarship entry - Beauty in an Untouched World

My name is Megan Zacharias & ever since I got my first camera, looking through that viewfinder made me different from the rest of the world. Now 10 years later that feeling hasn't changed. My work is about making everyday beauty stand out. These days it is so hard to discover places not touched by man and I think that is where true beauty is found. Those are the types of places I want to travel to. Views of the world that many have not experienced; that is where I want to shoot. Being a young art student makes me a true underdog when it comes to the vast world of photography. Nobody expects the underdog to succeed, but it's in their nature to never fail. That is what I am all about. Be proud, be yourself, and always shoot manual.
