Living the Dream

New England

USA | Friday, 27 April 2012 | Views [143]

Visited New England in September 2011. I wasn't sure if it was a place I wanted to visit but having been to other parts of the US, and one of my ambitions is to visit all 50 states, this visit could cover 6 states.

Left Edinburgh on a typically wet Scottish Saturday morning on a twin prop Aer Lingus flight to Dublin. A 4 hour stop over in Dublin didn't turn out to be as bad as I thought it would be. Had a hearty cooked Irish breakfast, which for airport food was pretty good. Judy even had time to get her nails done in a nail bar. Total shock when we went to departure gate. US Immigration is in the airport at Dublin. Absolutely brilliant - once in Boston, pick up the luggage and go. Bit of a rush though as planes going to New York, Boston, Chicago and Orlando all within 1 hour. Had to help older, retired couple through customs due to lack of time. Really nice couple, made their flight with minutes to spare
