Nan's pace

Walk slow for looking around is the best part of your journey sometime. I like to travel with my friends, but once I had to backpack alone to Nan province, a tranquil and unique city in the northern part of Thailand. Nan is situated in a valley of mountains which are the filters to prevent the modern development. Nan’s people also conserve their tradition and their folk ways. Thus time in Nan passes slower than other places. I had to walk slow following that pace of life and it influences me to realize the memorable view through my eyes and my camera, such as the children playing in fronts of a temple, the old woman and her dog crossing the steam with mambos like her ancestor doing before for along time. Even if I spent quota short time in Nana, I can
feel that I am not only a stranger or a tourist for Nan’s people, but I am the part of their family be their sincere worries such a asking about my shelter or bringing me to city before my request.

Even if I am not the professional in taking photos, I always take photos about environment and ethnic; moreover, I try to find the relations between people and environment which appear in the photos because I got an opportunity to be a trainee of a documentary magazine and a student in a class of urban
studies that make me emphasize the relationship between people and environment more than pure artist beauty. I love to study different ethnics and ready to join in every adventure. In addition, team work and talking with people, who come from different culture, for evolution my. Lastly, if I participate in this scholarship, I will distribute my experience to public for making the cross culture understanding.
