My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Worldwide | Thursday, November 3, 2011 | 5 photos
The pictures I have submitted are of the birds at my local park called Neil Hawkins. When stressed I like to go down to Neil Hawkins and take photos of the birds and make up their life stories. My favourite character is Bernard the Musk Duck. I am currently studying a double major in Psychology, Criminology and Justice at ECU. I am wanting a career in animal behaviour, to achieve this I am looking at the different animal units. I am passionate about animals and have always been. I have pictures my parents have taken of me as a child hugging and trying to kiss stranger's dogs. I have done several volunteering experiences for the malleefowl conservation and also a frog monitoring program at Rottnest Island. My holidays are based around assisting animals. I went to Thailand in 2010, I assisted in bathing the elephants and feeding them. I also fed and bathed Tiger cubs. Every animal is unique and beautiful. Photography emphasises the uniqueness and beauty of each animal. Photography can also convey the animal's personality. The ability to portray the animal's personality to the viewer has the possibility to ignite passion in others to help raise awareness and conserve these beautiful creatures.
