My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Stefan Durski, I am 22 years old from Adelaide, South Australia and enjoy capturing moments and memories. Over the last couple of years I have really gotten into photography.

I started off using an old Pentax k1000 to take shots. I liked the simplistic use of the camera functions and the fixed 50mm lens. It really got me thinking about the subject matter and the framing of my subject. I have recently bought myself a Entry level DSLR and I am enjoying having the complete control over the way the photo looks through the manual functions.

I cant think of anything more exciting than winning this scholarship. It would definitely be the biggest learning experience of my life. Traveling to an incredible place with an incredible mentor would certainly help me take my photography to that next level.

In the future my dream job would to be a photojournalist, I understand that this job is becoming less popular as technology evolves, however I hope my creativity would give my photos something special and memorable.
