Surfing 50 States

Gday Travellers from around the world!

This is the first article for our adventure 'Surfing 50 States'. Now Im sure you guys are asking yourself 'Are these guys serious?' and the answer is YES! We plan on travelling to every state of the USA and surfing it, in one form or another. We did look at a map prior to our adventure and we found that there are many landlocked states, that quite obviously don't have the ocean, but that has made this trip all the more fun. We surf ocean, rivers, snow, lakes, roofs, potato farms, corn fields, hills, stage shows, canals and pretty much anything that can hold a surfboard!

So who is behind this crazy adventure?

Stefan Hunt - Australian - 19 y.o

Jonno Durrant - Australian - 24 y.o

We have been on the road for nearly 3 months now and surfed 17 states. Which leaves us 33 states to knock over in 4 months, and we are behind schedule, but we don't let that bother us one bit. The adventure so far has been amazing, and some of the people we have met are definitely one in a million. From a Hot Wheels car fanatic in Kansas to a surf shop owner in Yakutat, Alaska (A small secluded town of 600 people), A potato Farmer in Idaho and as we speak a crazy Lake Surfer who has been riding the waves of Lake Michigan for over 40 years. These people have really made our adventure what it is.

This is really just an introduction to our trip, so we don't suffocate you with 1000's of stories, however we will be updating regularly with our quirky adventures over the next 4 months.

Hope you can check out our website  www.surfing50states.com

Cheers fellow travelers,

Stefan and Jonno
