My first camera was a point-and-shoot which I bought to capture memories with my friends as we’re graduating college. I work as Web Developer but always had the passion for design; how it made people’s lives easier by conveying information in the most efficient way. I have never imagined myself curating my photographs for submission to a scholarship. Nor did I had the idea of myself being this passionate to care about it. I guess that’s why I grown to love it; and not knowing it...
I find myself my hardest critic. I’ve always wanted to tell the story of how I felt when: I saw a captivating place; met interesting people; or how a laughter can echo loudly in a moment. That’s why I find myself going trigger happy most of the time. Good and bad. But lately good, in that I’m getting better with the fundamentals while capturing significant moments.
I hope through this scholarship I get more consistent with those fundamentals both technically, and artistically. Which will help me share moments with people, not only to see but to feel as if they were there.
