Papua New Guinea - Independence Day Celebrations

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

4. 'Jenny - the Shy Motuan ' - The Motuans are native inhabitants of PNG, who live along the southern coastal area of the country. Jenny has been dressed up for the competition but she is shy to dance. She is wearing a Meri Blouse (traditional loose fitting top that most of the PNG women wear), with a head gear made from the feathers of the Bird of Paradise (national bird of PNG), a shell necklace and has a bilum (traditional string bag) on her left shoulder.
