Hello,

My name is Stanley Ritz Kurniawan. I am a 21 year old Indonesian born that is now living in Australia. Growing up, I have moved back and forth between Indonesia and Australia.

I am majoring in Photography and Illustration design at Curtin University but thinking of moving into Civil engineering in semester 1 of 2013.

I love photography; I have graduated from Darwis Triadi School of Photography (Intermediate Level) in Jakarta, Indonesia. But because of the lack of support from the people around me towards my goal as a landscape photographer, it is most likely I will be moving majors very soon in university.

To me, photography is not just a hobby, but is a lifestyle. It is extraordinary to be able to capture moments with a push of a button and will able to cherish that moment forever.

Ever since the start of my fondness for photography, I have always wondered how to apply for a job in national geographics. I find the photographs to be phenomenal.

Aren't we tired of people telling us what we can and cannot do?

I hope that you can help me in convincing not just the people around me, but also everyone; that photography isn't just a hobby, but it is a necessity in life!
