It was a late night in the city and it was Fashion’s Night Out, I was walking around with my wife and we turned a corner and had to wait for a walk light to turn green. My wife turned around and saw this person sitting there enjoying a smoke. She turned to me and said, “Quick, take a photo!” so I turn around and ask, what turned out to be, this man if he’d pose for a photo for me. He was more than happy to oblige and I was able to get this shot.

I was at my 1st NFL game with my cousins and these fans of rival teams were constantly going at each other. It took the focus out of the game for me and became about the fans! It was such a great experience and thought that this image summed up both sides of the argument with one gesture! I like the rawness and realness of this image.

On my trip to NYC I used a lot public transportation to get around. I decided to use motion blur on the train and a stagnant 28th street pillar because, 1. That was the nearest station to me. 2. To convey the fact that the subway of NYC are so fast paced and so organized that, being my 1st time to the city, I was able to pick up and learn how to get around so easily. 3. With all the hustle and bustle there was always time to catch your breath and find yourself.
