The video was filmed from May to July 2011 on a mid semester break from studies. I wanted to do a trip with very minimal amount of gear, thus the utilization of a Sanyo pocket camera to create a series of webisodes for my youtube site. I have always had an interest in film which lead me to complete a documentary on the evolution of Melbourne graffiti culture 1980-2011 with co director last year, the project took us 3 years to complete. I recently returned from South africa to do a 30 minute documentary for my course study in film and television titled 'What color is freedom' regarding my family migrating to Australia during apartheid era. As a film maker my interest lies in capturing cultural and social issues that shape communities worldwide. As can be seen in the film my on screen talent is Steve Irwinesque (R.I.P) for I am a big fan of the rugged and go gettem attitude of us Australians. In regards to 'winning this scholarship' either way I'll be out there, and continue to create fun, energetic, cultural and raw documentaries that help the audience feel like they want to be part of the action. This is just what I do. Sharp
