My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | 5 photos

This should be a story of my country, my family, my autumn. It's a lovely country, but still in the "ghetto" , still "terra incognita" when seen by the Western world. It is exotic, exciting like the Abba's songs, and restless like Palestina.
Sometimes, when I look around myself, I only see the defaults, bad sides of it, politicians that mock to the tormented people. But when you focus to the ordinary things like a walk through the park in the foggy, autumn morning, and glaze through the water drops jumping out of the broken firemen pipe, you see the magic of God creation.
Even if I don't win the scholarship, I hope that I will give you a hint of the Serbian atmosphere, and a reason why you should visit and discover our country.
I am, by the way, an interpreter for Chinese language. I graduated at Belgrade University in the year 2005, and started working in our police Department. I have two sons, big family, friendly neighbours and two classes of a diver's course. I have sung in a church choir for 16 years, danced in an Serbian folk dance troup, went to the AC/DC concert here, in Belgrade, and now I am fighting the chicken-pox my sons got in the kindergarden.
My life is an adventure, and hopefully, always will be :)
