Grierson Winter Travels Follow us as we experience our first Winter adventure as a family in Europe. Join us as we touch down in Rome, eat our way through Sicily and then somehow find our way through northern Italy, France and England by car to snowy Scotland.

We have  only 6 days to go until we leave on our big adventure. Only SIX sleeps!!!! 

We are all pretty excited but also starting to see some holes in our carefully made plans. I guess this is good practise for all those times on the trip when things won't happen like they are supposed to.

We were planning to catch a train to Sydney on Sunday rather to get to the airport ... except now we realise that there aren't any trains running on Sunday due to track work.

We've also realised that our luggage may not fit into our rental car ... and that it may not even fit into our B&B owner's car either when she picks us up from the airport in Palermo.

Anyway - it's all sortable. Just a few last minute nerves as the reality of being away for 9 weeks sets in ...
