Lost in thought, this kid looked so aloof from the world

The vast range of expressions on children's faces never ceases to amaze me. Contemplating, planning, reliving, dreaming, planning...all at the same time.

In these few pictures, taken around the Langkawi island, I have tried to capture the lost-in-thought mood of a little kid. He was a small boy, and yet something about his expressions made him look so mature, so aloof from the world...he way he looked up at me, and then indifferently turned way....I found it all very incredible.

Now a bit about myself - as a broadcast journalism postgraduate, I worked with a couple of news channels before giving it all up for a nomadic life. A wanderer and a wonderer since a year now. I love observing people and taking in their subtle and not so subtle temperamental nuances.
