My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a student, a swimmer and a passionate photographer. I got my first camera when I turned 12 and ever since I have never stopped taking photos. I started out by taking photos of ordinary things in my environment that fascinated or moved me, trying to make them stand out in a picture. When I got older I discovered my desire to travel. So whenever i have the time and money I'm out for my next adventure, discovering the world part by part through the lens of my camera.

By travelling I learned how one photo can express a hundred things for which no words can be found and be different for every person. This made me want to go deeper with photography, to move people's minds, and to change their way of thinking because I think there is a lot in this world that has to be done and photos might just be a part of what will trigger this change.

I think Oman is a beautiful and very interesting country especially with the different culture and environment there and so many great shots just waiting to be taken.
