My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Luke Wormald. This is why I think I should join the Travel Photography Scholarship to Oman with National Geographic photographer Jason Edwards.
Ever since I took my first photo I found my passion.
Photographically, I did eight years of volunteering as a photographer for BAM Media at a variety of motorsport events. I also spent four years working in the photographic department at Sea World before I was approached to lead a new department to film the animal interactive programs.
Two years ago at the age of 28, I decided to head abroad. I spent eight weeks alone travelling around Europe, from the ruins of Pompeii to northern Norway in Arctic Circle. This experience opened my eyes to travel and travel photography. This trip was the best step of my life. I’m a healthy man, a hard worker and I have the stamina to work long days and nights. I would relish the opportunity to join Jason Edwards and National Geographic in Oman. I see this to be invaluable experience that would push my photography to another level. I would thrive in learning firsthand working on location, working through your shot list and getting results for a leader in world imagery.
Thank you for your time
