    The flight back from the airport at Leh, which stands at close to 11,000 feet above sea level gives a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges. The cloud laden skies blanket the scenery and one just stands in awe of what transpires in front of their eyes.     Leh Airport is the highest airport in India and one of the highest commercial airport in the world, situated at 3,256m above sea level. Even though the flight from Leh to Srinagar takes only 15 minutes, the views are absolutely magnanimous, giving the travelers a bird's eye view of the Himalayan ranges. To witness such a scene, tends to send a deep admiration for aviation technology and the fact that, we are, after all, so tiny in the bigger scheme of the universe, really sinks in. Views[3032] Pangong Tso Lake in Leh is a lake situated right on the borders of India and China at an height of 4250 m. It's 3.5 hours away from the nearest civilization, the roads leading upto it is a constant hazard for tourists and travelers with many having lost their lives just to witness this impeccable creation. One does wonder, how us humans were able to draw imaginary lines right through such places, just to live under the illusion of security. Views[724] The flora and fauna of this place comprises of intriguing little creatures, sprouting constantly throughout the day. Life is so disconnected from human indulgence, that each second you tend to witness absolute beautiful serenity within the plants and insects. Views[723] The outpost of Kargil, in Kashmir is situated at a zone where the soldiers from the adjoining country of Pakistan are at constant watch. It's like living life on the edge, under the watch of border military, and random gun shots and shelling is a daily routine. Look beyond this human frailty, and you witness the immense blanket of space right above your head, with the milky way just within your reach. Views[899] The drive towards Leh, Kashmir from Srinagar is through a treacherous terrain, riddled with frequent landslides and earthquakes, but the views are immensely breathtaking. The Indian soldiers, posted at these locations fight not only the threat of militants entering India from Pakistan through these mountain regions, but also the harsh cold winters where each day is a new battle for survival.
