Although I am a native of Brisbane, Australia, I consider myself a citizen of the world, preferring to remain in denial about boundaries and borders. I am not particularly fussy as to where I travel, whether it is to a location you can pinpoint on a map of this world or some envisioned world tucked within the pages of the nearest book. Being a student of History, I love seeing how cultures, cities and natural landscapes have been shaped over time. I am fascinated by human element as well – how people throughout the world and throughout time are all very much the same in our wants, needs and desires, but we have such different self-expression, framed by our various cultures and societies.
In true vagrant style, I have adopted the personal motto of “Have bags, will travel” and I am currently living the lifestyle of a pet- and house-sitter. This has allowed me the opportunity to regularly enjoy a different view, keep company with some gorgeous furred and feathered friends, build a treasury of quirky anecdotes and memories and, most importantly, to indulge my passion for writing. Admittedly, I have kept myself fairly close to home recently, while I nourish my passion for karate and prepare for my nidan grading. But, providing I survive that, the world awaits…
