Synergy: A vibrant Skate Park in 16th Century Walled City

This set of photographs were taken at a skate park in Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. They speak of the old and the young, of history and modernity as well as the artistic expressions of Manila's skateboarding and graffiti subcultures.

Hi I'm Simon. I've had a camera of some description, by my side, for as long as I can remember.

I love being able to capture a slice of life, a moment in time creating permanence from the dynamic. Having the ability to convey meaning and background through an image alone is truly an amazing process and a skill that I'm constantly trying to improve upon.

To this end it's rare that I'm without my camera. I love nothing more than exploring new places and people and capturing them in a sensitive thoughtful manner. As such I have recently started to practice street photography as a way of extending myself and diversifying my photographic skill set.

The opportunity to be mentored by Jason Edwards would be an awesome and possibly life changing experience for me as I would love to make photography my full time career. I love travel, meeting new people and experiencing what it is that makes life so utterly fascinating.
