Scholarship 2012: Singapore - look from the Inside

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Singapore | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos

As I grew up, I've been seeking for adventures and discoveries. At one point my lawyer degree found it's place on the shelf and I started new life with flight attendant job. Why? Because it was an opportunity to see the world. Seeing it through the viewfinder of my camera turned out to be even more exciting as I've realised that the world is more interesting than I thought. Capturing drops of water, beautiful sunset or stranger's face – all those things are the most inspiring but also the most challenging. Because sometimes small things can make a huge difference. And the way I see those things makes my photo unique or ordinary.
When I take a picture, I try to remember that there are millions of people capturing billions of spectacular views. And the biggest challenge for me as a photographer is to make them look different, so that every shot can tell a story. What kind of story? It's up to you... Not everybody see the same (remember Malevich and his Black Square).
Why travel photography? Simply because it combines what I love the most. I have plenty of things yet to learn, a lot of patience and great desire to do this work. And that's why I apply for the Scholarship today - to give myself a chance to get involved.
