My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
United Kingdom | Wednesday, June 19, 2013 | 5 photos
This is a personal interpretation of the project.I want to convey a sense of just how important this opportunity is to me.
My intent isn’t to tug heartstrings but to show despite an adverse situation,I was able to use photography to take a positive from a negative.
The fact is this event had many other consequences: mental, financial, & personal.
These other aspects have been challenging but nothing more than each person has to face.
My life disappeared & for a time my environment was very limited.Despite the hard loss of independent freedom I was able to continue recording my observations even though I couldn’t feed my love of actual exploration.
This experience has also born in me a new appreciation for life & all its beauty & hard ship.
I can’t imagine anything more fulfilling than using photography to explore, empathise with & share what the world has to offer. To show that there is such a diversity of life experience & how others co-exist with their environments & choose to live their lives.
I was lucky to have the NHS to repair me & have the opportunity to pursue my desires.I want to use this 2nd chance to good effect & this mentorship would be an incredible start.
