These photos were taken during my vacation with my family in Tunisia in September 2010. They tell the story of some of the people I have met and represent the simplicity and beauty of life I found in small towns and villages across this African country. These photos try to capture people’s pace as they go about their daily lives.

I should be chosen for this scholarship because: (a) I am a passionate student of photography with great willingness to improve my skills; (b) I am an eager learner and would benefit hugely from a hands-on experience with a professional photographer; (c) I am very interested in Bhutanese culture, wildlife and history; (d) I want to become a travel Photographer and this opportunity would be of great value to my plans for 2011 (I am planning to travel for a year to photograph other cultures); (e) since I was a kid I have always dreamt about being on an assignment with National Geographic and I believe I am now ready for this adventure!
