My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Montreal, Canada. Tuesday night. Downing my last sip of mint tea at Starbucks. Wondering what to write so you guys think I’m the right contestant to win the scholarship and travel to Greenland.
Greenland. Empty lands. Do people even live there? Why does a place so far away from my sweet and comfy Starbucks lounge chair make me all excited and tingly inside? Well it’s probably because I feel like my life is missing some adventure!
So why am I still in Montreal? Oh yes, it’s because I’m in a financially safe situation at my job. Safety. What a boring word when you think about it.
“Give it some time,” I tell myself everyday.
“You’ll get your chance one day,” I tell myself on a weekly basis.
“If you don’t like something in your life, change it now,” is what I’m reminding myself as I write these lines.
When growing up in a small town, dreams like being a world renown photographer are kept quiet. They always stay just that, dreams. So telling my parents I wanted to study photography was quite a shock. I’ve realized at a pretty young age that I would never be happy doing something that I don’t love. Call me stubborn or…a photographer.
