My name is Silvestre, I was born and raised in Patagonia. When I finished high school I was forced to move to Bueno Aires, capital city of my country.
After 6 years I was very depressed, the city was making me mentaly weak so I managed to get a J1 visa, went as a ski instructor to Aspen and started to change my life.
I earned some money, bought a camera and went 7 months to Asia traveling in the local trains and buses, getting to know and live new ways and cultures.
Photography made me see things in a different way, it gave me hope and make me challenge myself every time I went out shooting. I want to make my family proud, know and respect the environmet Im picturing, for me and those whom Im sharing my work with.
I see photography as the tool wich will make us realize how we humans are damaging the planet, to save cultures and nature.
Getting to be a pro depends on a miracle in my case, in my country our goverment has prohibited cameras, we cant save money and almost cant travel abroad. Theres no chance for me to get such a learning oportunity if its not in this way. I want to give photography the best of me, I swear I will value and work harder than everyone in the word. Thanks.
