Telling a story the way it needs to be told

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Monday, August 9, 2010 | 5 photos

In June 2010 my mother and myself left Adelaide to visit our family in Croatia. On our way back to Australia we stopped in Paris for two nights. For the full two days my artistic mind was buzzing. I have never felt so alive and awake. I felt as if I was finally home, a place where I want to be, i need to be, to be the real me. I took over 1000 photographs, choosing just five of the silent moments I had in Paris was a challenge. The five I chose represent moments that will never be forgotten but also five moments that will never appear again. Photographs are amazing in the way that they are able to tell a visual story of a moment in history, one I cherish and one I want to share with those around me. I am not so good with words, art/photography helps me tell a story the way I want it to be told. People that understand me know to be patient with me because at times I drift off into my other side, the side of constant thoughts of images and ideas.
