My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Myanmar | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
With a ticket to a new destination and a camera in hands, that is how my friends would describe me. It all started when my best friend got me a camera for my birthday a few years back. It hooked me - going extra mile to get a shot, waking up early for a perfect lighting, or just looking around for faces for my pictures.
What do I take pictures of? It is mostly my travels, where I document people's daily life. I am looking for characters – people with charm, camera unaware faces, or simply “cartoon heroes” as I like to call them. My photos have a story to tell, and they have a story.
Working with Jason Edwards, having photos published in National Geographic Channel, visiting yet another amazing country, cannot imagine a better opportunity! I crave to discover, to improve myself, to create not only beautiful but also meaningful shots.
Means of traveling in Burma, a set of pictures brought together during my time in the country which refreshed me, touched parts of me that other countries never reached. Through photographed various forms of Burmese transportation I try to show people around them, beauty, tradition and their enchanting customs.
