I am wanting to submerge myself in as much culture as I possibly can. I feel I was brought up only knowing one way of living, until I traveled to the Langtang Valley in Nepal. I was completely shocked that I witnessed, first hand kids as young as 12, have moved cross country to work in guest houses. It was not until spending time with some of the local children that I learnt that they in fact where not working for their own families, but working for a different family to earn money to send back to their parents. Being exposed to this has touched a nerve within me. I wish nothing more but to help those children gain independence, and help them get out of the situation they are being forced to be in as they have not, and most likely never will have their own voice!
