My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited - Occupations of Malaysia
Malaysia | Monday, January 7, 2013 | 5 photos
I have expressed myself in many ways growing up; somehow I reunited with photography 5 years ago. Right now, I can honestly say I am the most capable photographer and focused person to date. Albeit having to endure the torment of a caged existence in a full time non-photographic profession, taunted by countless missed sunrises from my office window.
Nowadays for me to genuinely feel like I am enjoying an amazing moment, I need to be looking through my viewfinder and hitting the shutter. I want to get out there, see the world and take it home with me. I have applied, as Oman, Yemen and Afghanistan are all heartfelt dream prospects based on culture and scenery.
I have plenty of room for improvement on my existing technique and can either conquer these through mentoring or another 5 years of trial and error without ever becoming a pro. This is a huge and rare opportunity and I treat it with utmost importance. I am here to listen, learn, work hard, compromise sleep and change my future, in turn to help others, God willing.
Life is too brief to waste; a world traveling photographer can really get to appreciate the beauty and sometimes cruelty of what creation has to offer.
