My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Australia | Thursday, January 10, 2013 | 5 photos
I often say that photography saved my life and indeed it has. It took me through the harders time in the country I was born and I left behind me, through my loneliness and my happy times. Whenever and wherever I take my photos I forget about all this, I forget about time, hunger, safety and common sense …
My friends say that photography is my way of saying Thank You or I am Sorry or I will be all right or you will be all right - I do agree with it. Photography is the most beautiful way of expressing all of my emotions and the emotions in other people’s eyes. This is why I’d love to learn as much as possible about photography and this is why I value the significance of the chance this competition is offering.
As I have educational background in psychology, naturally my zoom goes always to people first, but I also enjoy shooting all the unique places I visit as well as the beauty in places I see every day.
I travel quite a lot but I live permanently in Australia which became my homeland. That is why my five photographs are from the place I live and love the most; from one of Sydney costal suburbs showing beauty of the nature and human attempt to make the most of it.
I don't have my own blog or website and I never took part in any competition really; I just find it too hard to compete with all these other talented people out there, but well… it is about to change right now, I guess.
