Hi there
My name is Sarah Khalil and I live in London. I am a Pharmacist by profession where my day is mostly spent in a tiny dispensary counting tablets and measuring colourful liquids.
However on days that I am let out of the dispensary, I love 'seeing' the world and capturing beautiful moments in my camera. Photography to me, means a way of allowing others to see the world through my eyes and acknowledging the wonderful scenes we are surrounded by, which can often be over looked during our busy lives. I have always been a keen photographer and from a young age would go into the park and try to play around with light and shadow to create 'my perfect shot'! ( i even collected postcards before we had the internet for picture and shot inspiration!). Then due to studying for Pharmacy school I was unable to pursue a professional qualification in Photography, but continued my hobby by taking pictures whenever I could throughout university. Now however I am seeking to learn and develop my skills by applying for this scholarship in hope of learning from one of the best. I am really excited for the opportunity because I believe there is no experience like the hands on experience! Sarah
