I am a 23yr old girl who loves to travel, graduated in architecture in 2013. I never knew I'll become an architect one day. This happened to me by chance.Me and my friends only know how I managed to complete my graduation. It was like a nightmare. My love for photography was from childhood but i realized it during my college days when I accidentally got my friend's camera .Soon I discovered my hidden passion. From that moment there was no looking back. But still I tried to do job for living.Since last one year I changed 3 jobs but at the end I was not at all satisfied. In fact,it was like I had lost my happiness in the midst of all these. So,I finally decided to give up architecture as a career making option to follow my passion for travelling and photography.
I am basically a solo traveller and have travelled around almost each and every corner of my country India where violence and crime against women is a problem of pandemic proportions which results in facing thousands of obstacles during travel.Sometimes I get suprised when people at my place pop out their eyes by hearing that I travel solo.Well, these facts have never lead me back rather have provided me strength to explore even more.
I accidentally got to know about the National Geographic scholarship with Jason Edwards from one of my friend.I have no formal training in photography and this opportunity will definitely help me to get my foot in the door for my desired career in photography.
