15 days of Japanese Winter

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Japan | Monday, December 24, 2012 | flickr photos

My camera is not a small one, but it's more often than not glued to my face when inspiration in an unfamiliar setting strikes.
Japan was always on my to-do list and going there in the winter has made me want to go back in the spring and summer months. I spent the first 6 days in Niseko and had never seen so much snow in one place in my life. I was there for a snowboarding trip, but took a day off the lifts just to look around and take in the immense scenery. From the mountains of Niseko I hopped around Tokyo, Miyajima and Hiroshima for a bit of city/country contrast.
There was a sense of obligation but also of serenity in recording the places and people I was seeing. It was a feeling I wanted to chase and revisit in other places following my travels. A visit to Oman would surely stoke those fires all over again.
I would relish the opportunity to not only become familiar with Oman's rich history, but also to get to know the Canon 6D in various settings (both geographical and mechanical).
