My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Canada | Wednesday, January 2, 2013 | 5 photos
Even at a young age, the camera mesmerized me. I passionately delivered dramatic poses and took pictures of everything. Viewing the world through a camera has allowed me to capture moments for myself, and for others to reflect on. I want to create a legacy of moments that tell of events or stories that have happened. It is important that my photos impact people; make them think and get them to be aware of life around them.
As an integral part of my self-expression, I am on a path of experimentation to figure out what type of photos I love the most. I want my photography to tell people who I am, to have purpose and meaning, and to inspire people to do what inspires them.
This scholarship will give me clarity and more diverse skills to add to my photographer’s toolkit. This learning opportunity is important to me as I believe in continuous improvement and I want to learn everything from technical choices to being able to better communicate with my photos. After the completion of the scholarship, I am excited to see what new doors in photography will open and how my photographic career will unfold.
