    There is nothing quite as exhilarating as the feeling of sitting atop a sand dune after having tirelessly toiled your way up. You look out and see nothing but sand for miles on end. It is a moment of perfect clarity where everything in your life makes sense and you know exactly what you want and what is important. It is a gift to be there and the feeling of untarnished freedom, life and truth is one to hold on to. Views[448] Made it to our tents, ready to take on a desert night. Views[543] Camel riding in the Sahara desert. This is the trek towards no mans land. Views[1316] My desert tour guide took me to see this magic pond. No one eats the fish in the pond because of a legendary story that I unfortunately forget. The girl next to me was too shy to be in my picture, ergo the awkward pose...     Everything has a meaning. The Berbers (people who live in the mountains) wear these shawls and depending how it is worn, it says different things about a woman's stage in life. It's like wearing your relationship status. Views[1609] Traveling alone is an amazing learning opportunity. You discover a part of you that you otherwise might never meet. Here in this idyllic mountain village, I realized that I can. Views[804] Fasting in over 100 degree weather in Morocco is an experience, to say the least. Yes, I was that desperate. Views[461] We searched for two days to find the synagogue before we found it hidden in the sketchiest neighborhood in town. I'm loving the spelling.     In a sleepy town on the coast of Morocco lies a picturesque beach filled with relaxed locals and tourists alike. Everyone moves slowly, not because they must but because they can. They stop to talk, to invite you over or pour you some tea. Views[185] Many are hard at work at the port and if a boat needs to be pulled in? Why of course, just jump right in. This young boy jumped into murky, fishy water without hesitation, to pull his boat to dock. Swimming around playfully, I wonder if it was not just an excuse to cool off? Views[195] One persons junk is another persons treasure. Never have I seen this to be more true than in Morocco. What can look like a dump at first glance actually contains many useful and precious items. It seemed like people used their outside space as storage without fear of anything being stolen. Views[274] A local man works peacefully in a quiet tannery making leather items. The tannery is located deep inside the maze of the city in a quiet corner. This was during Ramadan and it is incredible to see people working hard during a time of fasting. They show a tremendous amount of faith and willpower. Views[252]
