My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I got inclined towards photography when I was in the hostel during my schooling. The warden had a SLR camera at that time (1990s). Watching him click on special occasions excited me. So, the first major ‘investment’ that I made with my maiden salary was buying a camera. Living in Delhi, which is rich in monuments, gave me an opportunity to make good use of the camera.
Passionate about travelling and my camera, I love to pack my bag for travel’s sake. Checking the checklist gives me a high. The weekend trips, mostly alone and to the Himalayas, are at a shoestring budget – ranging between Rs 2000 and Rs 2500. I love travelling in public transport – buses and shared jeeps – a great way to understand people.
As a photographer, I believe we all ‘live in frames’ – each moment worth ‘creating’. I have learnt that photograph should tell stories about where you have been. And I strongly feel that my camera will take me anywhere. Magic Camera!
