My name is Shane, born & raised in Brisbane Australia during the 80's. At 20 buying my first SLR, teaching myself photography, friends my subjects skateboarding the urban environment & competitions, with photographs published. Working & travelling Australia a few months each year so I could spend the other half travelling SE Asia & Pacific Islands. This is where I learnt to appreciate the many different cultures and traditions.
I found myself working the 8 - 5 grind, married with a beautiful wife and child, my love & passion for that perfect shot has never left me my photography has grown & matured. Now I travel around SE Queensland & overseas when I have a chance I have managed to build a small client base a few photos & written articles published yearly.
If I won I would take every moment in front of me to hone my skills, further develop & learn the secrets from one of the best. I believe with my name out in the wider audience as well as the chance to help work on a National Geographic article, it would give me the opportunity to follow my life's passion to show people through my eyes what I have captured and that they too will be willing to explore the world.
