MONK

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

India | Wednesday, October 13, 2010 | 5 photos

These images were taken during my college, when I had self assigned myself to capture the Tibetan settlement in Bylakuppe, Mysore India. It is one of the biggest settlement in south of India.

I was there only for 3 days and went back again for two more days, What always fascinated me were the Monks and I wanted to capture their day to day life, which took me next to capture the female monks, another story I see myself capturing in the near future.

When I look back this is a story that has been the closest to me through these 3 years.

I have been doing commercial photography since a year, for my bread and butter, but my true passion lies in capturing stories, lives of people, their culture etc. I am a former student of Graphic Designing and Advertising. I took up Photography because i wanted to turn my passion into my profession and I am on my way to live that dream.
