Istanbul. For me , being an Indian, Istanbul is a real fusion of Europe and Asia. It is like chaotic Europe! And we love a bit of chaos.
I tried to delve into their everyday lives through my pictures. The pictures which I have submitted do not particularly show any famous place in particular but rather, are momentary. I walked through the entire city from one tourist place to the other, looking, observing and absorbing the moments. My favorite bits were the intermediate sojourns from one destination to the other .Turkish people for me can look like anyone, they can be with blue eyes or black or brown, women can be clad anyhow, fully clad in traditional dress or dressed in complete modern attire, they can have brown hair, black , golden or even pink!! Three words would describe Istanbul for me: cats, kids and love!!
I think I should be chosen for the scholarship because I am a keen observer and quick at finding moments. I think I will be able to learn a lot more on this expedition with the respective teacher. Though I am an architect, but this opportunity will allow me to delve into the world of photography with better technical skills and direction. This experience would really help me in future.
