My name is Andrés Ricardo Carvajal Castro, I was born in Cucuta (Colombia), I’m a professional journalist and a writer, and an amateur photographer, passion I share with my girlfriend, who is an accomplished and better photographer, which brings me energy to take better photos, in a play muse-artist, in which I encourage it to write better and she gives me wings to fly in photography.
I took those pictures in my work travels to the corners of the hidden gem that is my state, hit by the violence, who is for common knowledge in the world, associate Colombia with Violence.
In my process as a writer and journalist, and my passion for cinema, I always love the fact that the inmeddiate can lead to a million stories, as a gift I’ll translate a short poem dedicated to my girlfriend and the photography:
Eternal
Dress yourself of black to be Night
Hide your tools in a bag with space to the eternity
Keep your eyes wide open, Anytime could be the moment
Steal every scent
That your body tastes like the herbs that surround you
Taste in your mouth the saliva of the river
Feel in your skin blow the breeze of the mountain
When you see your target
Unbound the killer eye
Hold your fingers like claws to the heart
Swallow the saliva that taste like maple
And been approached every part of you to be the landscape
Shoot.
